International Women’s Day celebrated at NTPC-Lara


with honoring the women employees by Shri Alok Gupta, ED, Lara today at conference hall. On this occasion a cake was cut by them in the presence of Executive Director, GMs and senior officials. Shri Alok Gupta, ED, Lara, GMs and other senior officials welcomed each female employees with a rose bud and plant.
Addressing the lady employees Shri Gupta, stressed upon this year women’s day theme “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. Shri Gupta, emphasized the contribution of women since pre-independence era to building of modern world. He also described various role of a lady specifically in NTPC scenario contribution of women employees is very significant to fulfilling country’s energy requirement.
Later in another programme, female contract labourers engaged in housekeeping work was provided with cotton apron. On this occasions senior officials, Santosh Kumar Jha, GM (Project), Akhilesh Singh, GM (Maintenance), Samarendra Kumar Roy, GM (Operation), Rajiv Ranjan, GM (Fuel management), Kanheya Das, AGM (HR), Samir Sharma, AGM (TS) and women employees and contract labourers were present.
