Energy Conservation Week 2021 inaugurated at NTPC Lara

The Iconic Energy Conservation week 2021 inaugurated at NTPC Lara by Alok Gupta, Executive Director-Lara in the presence of other GMs and senior executives. Addressing on this occasion Gupta stressed upon the importance of energy conservation for our future generation. Keeping the reduction of carbon footprint in our mind, we should adapt different innovative way of energy conservation so that we can set example for others to follow those steps for our bright future. Energy we save in our daily life is presumed as energy will be produced for tomorrow. Among other dignitaries JSS Murthy, GM (O&M), SK Jha, GM (Project), TK Bandopadhyay, GM (Maintenance), Akhilesh Singh, GM (Fuel Management) also addressed the gathering and expressed their opinion on energy conservation. The weeklong activities will be based on awareness generation programme for the school children through different competitions.


NTPC being an energy company gives more emphasis on energy conservation. As major source of energy in our country fulfilled from fossil fuels, during these days NTPC has diversified itself and foray into renewable sources of energy production.


On the inaugural function a slogan writing competition was organised among the dignitaries. Besides a small booklet on energy conservation week was released. On this occasion Shri Alok Gupta, ED-Lara along with Shri JSS Murthy, GM(O&M), Shri S K Jha, GM (Project), Shri Akhilesh Singh, GM (FM) and other AGMs release the booklet and formally rollout the weeklong activities. Shri Samir Sharma, AGM (EEMG) informed about the entire programme and NTPC Lara’s exemplary initiatives for energy conservation.
