Korba,25 October 25: The Star Rating Inspection Team visited SECL’s Dipka Area on October 24, 2025, as part of the ongoing evaluation under the Ministry of Coal’s Star Rating programme.
The inspection team included Sri Ajay Kumar, OSD, CCO Delhi; Dr. Vineeth Balakrishnan, Assistant Professor, NIT Raipur; Sri S.S. Shrivastava, Senior Vice President, SEML; and Sri B. Ghosh, OSD, CCO Bilaspur.
The team was welcomed by Sri Sanjay Kumar Mishra, General Manager, Dipka Area. A presentation on mining operations, safety, environmental measures and community development was given at Pragati House, followed by a document verification session. Later, a plantation was carried out under the “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam” campaign.
During the field inspection, the team visited the Viewpoint, SSR Radar Point, and the plantation site of the Dipka Expansion Project. Officials briefed the team about digital initiatives, quality control, FMC projects, and various environmental and safety practices.
The visiting officials expressed satisfaction over the efforts taken towards sustainable and responsible mining in the Dipka Area.
