Raigarh,9 September 2025. As part of its continuous commitment towards community development, NTPC Lara organized a School Shoes Distribution Programme under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Shri Anil Kumar, Executive Director, NTPC Lara was the chief guest of the programme. The programme was held at Kandagarh Middle English School on 09th September 2025, in the presence of village sarpanch, school staff, parents, and NTPC representatives.
A total of 160 pairs of shoes were distributed among students of primary and middle English schools from nearby villages Kandagarh, Bodajhariya and Jhilgitar. This initiative aims to support underprivileged children by providing them with basic necessities, thereby encouraging regular school attendance and improving overall hygiene and health.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Anil Kumar, Executive Director (NTPC Lara) highlighted NTPC’s focus on holistic development of children and its commitment towards promoting education, health, and well-being in its surrounding areas. He emphasized that such initiatives not only benefit the students but also strengthen the bond between NTPC and the community.
Teachers and parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to NTPC Lara for the thoughtful initiative, which would go a long way in instilling confidence among the children and motivating them to attend school regularly.
As a responsible corporate apart from power generation NTPC Lara has been undertaking several CSR initiatives in the areas of education, health, skill development, and community welfare, thereby contributing to sustainable and inclusive growth of the region.
