KORBA, Jul 3 Medical lab technician Sheetal Das was felicitated for his dedication at the hands of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Lab Technician in the mobile medical unit touring the district under Mukhyamantri Slum Swasth Yojna, Das received words of praise and encouragement from Baghel.
A special ceremony at chief minister’s resident in Raipur, on Friday, felicitated dedicated workers of mobile medical units, operating under Mukhyamantri Slum Swasth Yojna. Baghel awarded the selected workers from Bilaspur, Korba, Bhilai, Raipur, Rajnandgaon. These included lab technician Sheetal Das from Korba, physician Dr Jaigiri Goswami from Bilaspur, pharmacist Indu Rai from Bhilai, ANM Luisa Anthony from Raipur, driver Lokesh Kumar Sahu from Rajnandgaon and Ankit Sharma and Monish Sahu from Suda.
The scheme, launched by Chief Minister Baghel, aims at providing free treatment and medicines for the patients residing in slum areas. The mobile medical unit travels different lanes and localities, ensuring health care at the patient’s doorstep. Baghel said that the scheme will prove to be a milestone in the direction of developing health care in state. Every mobile medical unit is equipped with doctors, nurses and other medical staff, along with medicines and reaches different localities as per a pre-determined schedule.
Operation of mobile medical unit in the district begun on 6th November 2020 and so far, 1320 camps have been organised across the district, benefitting 65,532 patients. 8 mobile medical units are running in the district. Along with treating general diseases, these units have also vaccinated 10,380 people against COVID-19.
