Doctors’ day celebration and artificial limb distribution by NTPC

NTPC Korba today celebrated National Doctors’ Day in a befitting manner with COVID Protocols. Biswarup Basu, Executive Director, NTPC Korba inaugurated the programme with lamp lighting and in his speech, lauded the dedicated service of all doctors of Korba hospital during Covid pandemic to save the lives of employees and local public. Shri BK Mishra, CMO, informed the importance of Doctors’ day and gave a presentation on hospital activities.

Every year Doctors’ day is celebrated in the memory of Bharat Ratna and doyen medical professional Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Acknowledging the service of doctors Shri Basu, Executive Director, Korba along with Shri P Ram Prasad, GM (O&M), Shri B K Mishra, CMO felicitated all the doctors as a gesture and acknowledgement to their dedicated service for the welfare of mankind.

On this occasion, Shri Basu, Executive Director, Korba along with other general managers visited the Disability rehabilitation Center and distributed artificial limbs to 8 divyang people. Disability rehabilitation center of NTPC Korba works as center of hope for nearby 15 districts of Chhattisgarh. This center provides all rehabilitation facilities to the differently abled people without charging a penny. Besides providing artificial limb, this center is providing counseling service and facilitates the divyang candidates to avail all government schemes meant for their welfare.
