Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Pays Glorious Tribute to Literary Luminary and Freedom Fighter Subhadra Kumari Chauhan on Her Death Anniversary

Raipur, February 14, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid a heartfelt tribute to Smt. Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, the celebrated poetess, fearless freedom fighter, and an indomitable voice of India’s independence movement, on the eve of her death anniversary (February 15). Remembering her invaluable contributions to literature and the nation, he hailed her as a timeless source of inspiration for patriotism and perseverance.

Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked, “Smt. Subhadra Kumari Chauhan was not merely a poetess; she was a revolutionary spirit whose words became a rallying cry for India’s struggle against colonial rule. Her immortal composition, ‘Jhansi ki Rani’, is not just a poem—it is a resounding anthem of bravery, sacrifice, and national pride that continues to stir the hearts of millions.”

Highlighting the enduring relevance of her works, the Chief Minister stated that her poetry remains as impactful today as it was during the freedom movement.
