Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai pays tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on birth anniversary

  • Chief Minister Shri Sai extends greetings on ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas’

Raipur, 14 November 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary, celebrated on November 15, and extended warm greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.’ He highlighted that, under the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this day is celebrated annually to honour the country’s immortal heroes and martyrs. The Chief Minister praised Bhagwan Birsa Munda as a tribal leader who empowered his community by raising awareness about their rights over Jal, Jungle, and Zameen (water, forest, and land) and inspiring them to stand up for these rights. He added that Birsa Munda ji courageously opposed the British Empire’s policies and dedicated his life to the socio-economic upliftment of the tribal community, leaving a legacy of revolutionary ideas and patriotism that continues to inspire all.

The Chief Minister further stated that several welfare initiatives are underway in Chhattisgarh to support the development of the tribal society. He urged everyone to work together to propel the state toward progress, inspired by the vision and legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
