Raipur, 05 November 2024/ At the Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav, the Women and Child Development Department showcased various state and central government initiatives at the fair in Nava Raipur, attracting considerable enthusiasm among attendees. Key programs such as the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh Loan Scheme, Women Helpline Number 181, Sakhi One Stop Center, Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, and Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana were prominently featured.
The Mahtari Vandan Yojana aims to empower women in Chhattisgarh, providing monthly support of Rs 1000 to approximately 70 lakh women. The Women Helpline Number 181 offers swift assistance for issues related to physical or mental violence. The Sakhi One Stop Center provides comprehensive support for distressed women under one roof. Additionally, the Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh Rinn Scheme helps women self-help groups achieve financial independence, while the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Scheme addresses the challenges of lavish weddings. Initiatives like ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’ promote the safety and education of girl children by combating gender discrimination, and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Scheme offers health benefits and nutritional incentives for eligible pregnant women.
