Korba 27 October 2024.The Maitri Mahila Samiti (MMS) of NTPC Korba celebrated the festival of lights with a vibrant Diwali Milan event, showcasing stunning decorations and an atmosphere of joy and festivity. The event drew the participation of numerous members, elegantly adorned in traditional Benarasi and silk sarees, perfectly adhering to the dress code.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from the General Secretary of MMS, Smt. Anju Singh, who greeted the President of MMS, Smt. Roli Khanna, along with Vice-Presidents Smt. Kasturi Maitra, Smt. Mita Bhattacharya, and Smt. Kriti Sathe.
The festivities began with the lighting of the lamp and a heartfelt puja of Lord Ganesh, symbolizing the removal of obstacles and the blessing of prosperity. Smt. Roli Khanna graced the occasion with her warm wishes and words of encouragement, setting a positive tone for the celebration.
As part of the Diwali festivities, all attendees participated in lighting diyas, marking the beginning of the celebrations. The event featured delightful dance performances by MMS members, which added to the festive spirit. A grand game of tambola also took place, with exciting prizes distributed by core committee members to lucky draw winners.
One of the highlights of the evening was the various selfie points, which attracted numerous participants eager to capture joyful moments, fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration.
The event concluded with a sumptuous dinner followed by a dazzling cracker show, ensuring a memorable end to a beautiful evening filled with light, laughter, and unity.
