Foundation Laying and Inauguration of 109 Projects Worth Rs 187 Crore 51 Lakh
Raipur, 01 October 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation for several developmental projects worth crores in Surajpur district today. He inaugurated 27 projects constructed at a cost of Rs 57.1634 crore and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for 7 projects under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department, Surajpur, which will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 68.7725 crore.
Under the Rural Engineering Service, Surajpur, Shri Sai laid the foundation stone for 3 projects worth Rs 44.82 lakh and 1 project under the Chhattisgarh Housing Board valued at Rs 43 lakh. Additionally, he inaugurated 4 projects built at a cost of Rs 57.52 lakh. Furthermore, he laid the foundation stone for 5 projects worth Rs 18.6980 crore under the Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development, Surajpur, and 18 projects worth Rs 2.3047 crore under the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Surajpur. He also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for 23 projects worth Rs 2.5559 crore under the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Pratappur.
With the objective of ensuring all-round holistic development, Shri Sai performed foundation laying ceremony for 16 projects costing Rs 1.9292 crore under the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Bhaiyathan, and inaugurated 1 project built at a cost of Rs 19.82 lakh. He also laid the foundation for 10 projects worth Rs 1.2553 crore under the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Ramanujganj, and inaugurated 3 projects constructed at a cost of Rs 36.18 lakh. Additionally, the foundation laying was also done for 8 projects under the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Premnagar, worth Rs 1.0759 crore.
Moreover, Shri Sai laid the foundation for 5 projects costing Rs 12.7529 crore under the Executive Engineer, Water Resources Department, Surajpur, and inaugurated 3 projects constructed at a cost of Rs 10.18 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for 13 projects under the Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Surajpur, valued at Rs 45 lakh. The inauguration of 5 projects worth Rs 1.6893 crore under the Executive Engineer, Chhattisgarh Medical Services Limited, Ambikapur, was also conducted, alongside the inauguration of 2 projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) worth Rs 3.4271 crore and 5 projects under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana (MGSY) valued at Rs 1.2096 crore.
Additionally, 2 projects under the Municipal Council, Surajpur, were inaugurated at a cost of Rs 2.04 crore, marking another significant step in the region’s infrastructural and civic development. Chief Minister emphasized that these initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to accelerating the pace of development in rural areas and ensuring that the benefits of growth reach every section of society.
