Shri Dewangan announces sanction of Rs 10 Lakh for Building Construction and Provision of 4 Air Conditioners and 2 Televisions

Raipur, 09 September 2024/ A society that honors and respects its elders is the one that truly progresses. By fostering respect for them, we can preserve our civilization and culture. In our culture, parents are considered to be the first teachers of their children, while grandparents instill values in them, said Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Labour, Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan, as he addressed the 18th Foundation Day celebration of the Senior Citizens’ Welfare Committee organized at Anubhav Bhavan in Balco Nagar. As chief guest of the event, Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan inaugurated the newly-constructed building of the committee. Responding to the committee’s request, he announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh from the MLA fund for the construction of an additional floor on the building. Additionally, he declared the provision of 4 air conditioners and 2 televisions.
He emphasized that honouring the elderly is part of our tradition. India has the largest youth population, and with the continued guidance from our elders, the nation can achieve great heights. Minister Shri Devangan further said that young energy paired with the experience of the elderly is what will lead our society and country to the prosperity .
Minister Shri Devangan expressed his joy on the observation that, even after retirement, members of the committee remain connected with one another, sharing both joys and sorrows.
