Raipur, 3 September 2024. During the Teeja-Pora celebration on September 2 at the Chief Minister’s residence, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai disbursed Rs. 1,000 each to 70 lakh eligible women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. In Balod district alone, 2.52 lakh women have been receiving this financial assistance for seven consecutive months. Women of the Balod district expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for this timely support. Smt. Madhuri Manikpuri from Jhalmala village joyfully shared that she receives Rs. 1,000 every month under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which she puts to good use. She mentioned that this month, on the occasion of Teeja-Pora Tihar, “Vishnu Bhaiya” has disbursed the seventh installment, allowing her to celebrate the Teeja festival with happiness.

Smt. Savita Thakur expressed her delight, saying that the seventh installment, disbursed during Teeja-Pora Tihar, will enable her to buy a saree and visit her maternal home for Teeja. Similarly, Smt. Kamin Bai and Smt. Ganeshiya Sahu shared their happiness upon receiving the seventh installment, noting that the Chief Minister cares for them like an elder brother, providing Rs. 1,000 directly into their bank accounts every month. For these women, the start of each month now feels like a festival, and seeing the message about the Mahtari Vandan Yojana funds on their mobile phones fills them with confidence and joy.
