Raigarh, 28 August. Lara Super Thermal Power Station of NTPC Limited presented two awards in National Tusker Award ceremony 2024 held at Kozhikode, Kerala. NTPC Lara won “Gold Award” in “Community Engagement and Impact” and silver award for “Best Short Film”. The public awareness campaign done by NTPC for the development of girl child by its programme “Girl Empowerment Mission”, promoting corruption free society during Vigilance Awareness Week and International Day for Yoga was well appreciated by the jury members.
Further, Silver award was presented for making “Best short film” on Girl Empowerment Mission, safety and waste to wealth, making of carry bag from waste bag filter.
These awards are the testimony of NTPC Lara’s commitment towards “people before PLF approach” with safety and better solid waste management to build a better community around its project.
The award was received by Bishnu Prasad Sahoo, Manager (Corporate Communication) from Shri PA Mohammed Riyas, Hon’ble Minister for Public Works and Tourism, Govt. of Kerala.
