NTPC Korba Concludes Successful Inter-District Junior Girls Football Championship

NTPC Korba successfully concluded the Inter-District Junior Girls Football Championship today, with Bastar emerging as the champions after a commanding 5-0 victory over Bijapur. The four-day championship, held under the auspices of BUH Korba, saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing Raipur, Bijapur, Durg, and Bastar districts.

During the tournament, the Chhattisgarh Football Association’s training and evaluation team meticulously observed the players, selecting the top 30 based on their exceptional performances. These selected players will now embark on a rigorous 21-day coaching camp starting tomorrow, aimed at further honing their skills under expert guidance.

The closing ceremony, held at NTPC Korba, was graced by esteemed dignitaries including AGM (HR) Shri Shashi Shekhar and President of the Sports Council, Shri K.P. Chandravanshi. Members of the union, associations, and notable CSR contributors were also present, reaffirming NTPC’s steadfast commitment to promoting sports and youth development in the region through its CSR initiatives.

“This championship not only showcased the talent and spirit of these young athletes but also underscored the importance of sports in nurturing leadership and teamwork,” remarked Shri Rajeev Khanna, BUH, NTPC Korba.
