DAV Korba celebrated its 14th annual function Bharat ‘SUFARNAMA’


Korba 26 December , DAV Public School SECL Korba celebrated its 14th annual function. Sri Deepak
Pandya sir ( Area General manager SECL Korba area, Chairman LMC) graced the occasion as the chief
guest. Shree S.K.P Shinde sir (APM SECL Korba, nominee chairman, LMC) , was the guest of honour, Smt.
Sweta Pandya madam ( President, Shristi Mahila Mandal) was the guest of honour, Smt. Archana Shinde
madam, Shree. C. M. Pandey sir manager of DAV. Public school SECL korba , principal DAV Public school
Kusumunda, Shree K. D. Sharma sir principal DAV Chaal, Smt. Manisha Agrawal madam principal DAV
public school Gevra, and Shree. Shailendra Singh ward councillor, and other dignitaries from SECL
graced the occasion with their remarkable presence. All the guests were welcomed traditionally with
tilak and vedic mantras and honoured with Bouquets and badges by the principal Smt. Anamika Bharti
and other sr. Teachers of the school. The programme started with DAV Anthem. Then a very melodious
welcome song was presented in the honour of the guests. A classical dance based on importance of
Vedas for the universal peace and harmony was presented by the students. After this wonderful
performance Annual Report for the session 2022-23 was presented by the principal. She emphasized the
importance of cocurricular activities for the all-round development of students and mentioned the
names of students who brought laurates to school by participating in different competitions, and also by
getting selected for district level, state level and national level competitions. After the annual report
presentation a very beautiful dance’ little stars’ was presented by tiny tots of the school and an elegant
classical dance was presented by the students and impressed the audience. In the continuation of the
programme, students who secured the highest scores in classes 10th and 12 th board exams, in the
session 2022-23, and also some students for their 100 percent attendance were awarded by the chief
guest and other dignitaries.
The journey of Indian cinema ‘ a beautiful dance was presented by the students of pre-primary and
transformed the audience into the world of old and golden time of movies . A Hindi drama based on
social media and it’s impact on society has been very beautifully dramatised and compelled the
audience to think about it. Another dance was presented by the students of primary classes on the
importance of saving the environment. On the biography of Swami Dayanand, a very melodious Qwwali
was presented by the students and mesmerized the audience. Then students of classes 3 and 4
presented a chhattisgarhi dance and depicted its culture and tradition. An English drama was presented
on Bharat, Shakuntala and Dushyant. After this wonderful presentation, the highest scorers from classes
3 to 8 and 9 th and 11 th were awarded by the chief guest and other dignitaries. After the felicitation of
students a dance based on women empowerment was presented by the students. A dance based on ‘
Lord Krishna and his devotee Meerabai ‘ was presented by the students and left the audience emotional
and devotional. After their devotional performance, the chief guest of the event Shree Deepak Pandya
sir addressed the gathering and emphasized that if we do our work sincerely and honestly, our self
confidence will be increased. After his inspirational speech, a western dance on’ The Mission Chandraya
3 ‘ the wonderful achievement of our scientists was presented by the students and left the audience
speechless for some time. Vote of thanks was proposed by sr. most teacher Smt. Amita Sharma madam .
Atharvaveda house was awarded as the best house for its achievements for the session 2022-23. Torch
bearer award was given to Smt. Meenakshi Tiwari madam for her outstanding results as 14 students
secured 100 out of 100 marks in sanskrit in class 10 th board exams. Smt. Pinky kaur madam was
awarded with the best teacher award for her best efforts throughout the year. The programme came to
an end with state song and national anthem. The whole programme was anchored by Smt. T. Mary

Narasimham, English teacher and also by a group of students under her able guidance. It was a grand
success due to the valuable guidance of the principal smt. Anamika Bharti and the sincere efforts of the
teaching and non teaching staff and other staff members of the school.
