International level badminton player supported by NTPC Korba is now qualified All India University Championship and Khelo India University Games

International level badminton player Harshit Thakur won the 22nd State Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2023, organized by the Bilaspur District Badminton Association, held at Bilaspur.

The finals of the Men’s Singles were played between Ronak Chauhan of Raipur and Harshit Thakur of Korba. Harshit emerged as the winner.

Harshit has carved an extraordinary path in the world of Badminton, representing India on various international platforms also.

His story is one of resilience and determination, inspiring us to pursue our dreams despite hurdles.

Harshit Thakur is being trained under the initiatives of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of NTPC Korba.

Harshit Thakur who is supported by NTPC Korba recently also won a Silver Medal in the North Zone Inter University Badminton Championship which was held at Chandigarh from 24 to 29 November 2023.

“Me and my team is now qualified for All India University Championship and Khelo India University Games to be held in January 2024,” said Harshit Thakur. “I’m really grateful and thankful for the support given by NTPC Korba,” he added.
