Swachhta Pakhwada is being organized by NTPC Korba from 01 October to 15 October 2023 under the Swachh Bharat Mission as per the guidelines of the Government of India. On this occasion, Shri B. Ramachandra Rao, Business Unit Head, NTPC Korba took oath on the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada – Swachhta Hi Seva on 01 October 2023.
This program was organized in the vegetable market (Sabzi Mandi) of NTPC Korba Township. In the same sequence, on 01 October 2023, cleanliness campaign was also launched in the vegetable market by NTPC Korba and cleanliness was also done inside and outside the vegetable market. NTPC Korba unitedly volunteered for one hour for the cleanliness drive.
“The campaign focuses on to maintain cleanliness in our surroundings and helps the children and fellow people to learn the significance of cleanliness,” said Shri B.R. Rao, CGM, Korba.
This cleanliness campaign at NTPC Korba Vegetable Market is being led by Shri B.R. Rao, Project Head, NTPC Korba. On this occasion, Shri Madhu S., General Manager (O&M), Shri Somnath Bhattacharya, General Manager (Operations), Shri Manish V. Sathe, General Manager (Ash Dyke Management), Shri Prabhat Ram, Additional General Manager (HR) and other senior officials, employees, union and association members, NTPC Korba team and CISF team of NTPC Korba were present. More than 100 people were present on this occasion.
Shri Madhu S., GM (O&M) addressed the campaign by saying the moral of the campaign that “Don’t litter and don’t let others litter.”
It may be noted that during Swachhta Pakhwada, various types of awareness programs and competitions are being organized in NTPC Korba.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a Swachh Bharat Mission by the Government of India which is supporting to make India clean. The campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and launched on 2 October 2014 to honor Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Swachh Bharat.
Under the cleanliness campaign, Swachhta Pakhwada was conducted at the national level and covered all rural and urban areas.
Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Seva 2023 is being organised between 15th September and 2nd October-the day observed as the Swachh Bharat Diwas (SBD) on Mahatma Gandhi’s Jayanti.
