Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel dedicated 2715 development works costing Rs 4471 crore to the people of the state
Inauguration of “Chhattisgarh Niwas” located in New Delhi
Raipur, 27 September 2023/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel dedicated 2715 development works costing Rs 4471 crore of 16 departments to the people of the state in a program organized at his residential office on Wednesday. Addressing the virtual inauguration, Bhumipujan and the foundation stone laying program organized at his residential office, he said that all these development works are related to the development of infrastructure which will further improve public facilities. These works are also directly related to our economic development.
These development works include Bhumipujan of 1121 works costing Rs 2,368 crore, the inauguration of 1530 works costing Rs 1705 crore and the foundation stone laying of 64 works costing Rs 398 crore. Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, virtually inaugurated the newly constructed Chhattisgarh Niwas. It is located in Dwarka, the capital of New Delhi, was built at Rs. 60 crore 42 lakh and is equipped with all necessary amenities. The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel expressed his best wishes for the people of the state regarding these development works.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that over the last 5 years, our government has prioritized the construction of infrastructure, social and economic empowerment. All areas of the state are receiving equal benefits from our public welfare schemes. Our plans were tailored to address the needs of the people, and their effective implementation has spurred development in Chhattisgarh.
He further added that the citizens of Chhattisgarh now have access to ‘Chhattisgarh Niwas’ located in New Delhi, which will provide accommodation for those in need. This solves the issue of finding a place to stay for everyone in the state. It is worth mentioning that, over the past two days, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has dedicated construction projects worth Rs 10,551 crore to various departments and public facilities at both the state and district levels, benefiting the people of Chhattisgarh.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Shri T.S Singh Deo, participated in the program virtually. During the virtual inauguration of the projects, Shri Singh Deo expressed his commitment to advancing Chhattisgarh through ongoing efforts. He also highlighted that these development works will enhance the well-being of the general public. Public Works Department Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Mr. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Principal Secretary Home Mr. Manoj Pingua, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Ankit Anand, Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Mr. S. Bharathidasan and Senior officials were present at the Chief Minister’s residence office. Chairman of the Apex Bank Shri Baijnath Chandrakar joined the program virtually.
“Chhattisgarh Niwas” is equipped with all the necessary facilities
The Chhattisgarh Niwas in Dwarka, located in the capital city of New Delhi, is a recently constructed building equipped with modern amenities. The total cost of construction was Rs 60 crore 42 lakh, and it comprises 61 rooms and 13 suites. The building is built to cater to the needs of Chhattisgarh citizens visiting Delhi for government or personal work. Additionally, it provides accommodation for patients and their families who come to Delhi for medical reasons. It is worth noting that the Chhattisgarh Government already has two buildings in Delhi, but due to the growing demand, a third building became necessary. The four-storey building offers various facilities, including dining areas, waiting rooms, conference halls, guest rooms, dormitory, residential lifts, and parking facilities.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel participated in Bhumipujan, Foundation laying and inauguration of various works that includes 19 works costing Rs 1284.42 crore of the Energy Department, 1192 works costing Rs 404.02 crore of Forest and Climate Change Department, 31 works costing Rs 126.22 crore of Higher Education Department, 30 works costing Rs 101.81 crore of Home Department, 03 works costing Rs 49.88 crore of CREDA, 17 works costing Rs 533.32 crore of Housing and Environment Department, 09 works costing Rs 362.81 crore of Public Health Engineering Department, 04 works costing Rs 99.91 crore of Medical Education Department, 146 works costing Rs 816.62 crore of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, 06 works costing Rs 13.85 crore of Raipur Smart City Limited, 03 works costing Rs 72.34 crore of Transport Department, 10 works costing Rs 133.76 crore of Scheduled Tribe Department, 11 works costing Rs 146.53 crore of Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation, 331 works costing Rs 172.06 crore of Department of Agriculture and Technology, 02 works costing Rs 144.5 crore of Public Works Department and 01 construction work costing Rs 9.8 crore of Apex Bank are included respectively.
