Raipur : Chhattisgarh records an average rainfall of 1041.7 mm so far

Bijapur district records maximum while Surguja district records minimum rainfall in the state


Raipur, 26 September 2023 . According to the information gathered by the State Revenue and Disaster Management Department through the State Control Room, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 1041.7mm from June 1, 2023, till now. Analyzing the rainfall data from June 1 to the morning of September 26, the Bijapur district experienced the highest average rainfall of 1632.6mm, while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average of 471.3mm during the same period.


As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the average rainfall recorded since June 1 varies across districts. In Surajpur district, an average rainfall of 772.8 mm has been registered, while Balrampur has experienced 925.9 mm, Jashpur has recorded 869.5mm, and the Koriya and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur districts have recorded 916.4 and 899.3mm of average rainfall respectively.


 Similarly, 1184.7 mm in Raipur district, 1197.0 mm in Balodabazar, 914.2mm in Gariaband, 1024.1 mm in Mahasamund, 953.5 mm in Dhamtari, 1233.8 mm in Bilaspur, 1353.9 mm in Mungeli, 1218.3 mm in Raigarh and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh records an average rainfall of 976.2 mm respectively. Average rainfall of 1167.3 mm was recorded in Janjgir-Champa, 1037.0 mm in Sakti, 1041.0 mm in Korba, 1113.1mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 896.2 mm in Durg, 918.7 mm in Kabirdham district, 1146.6 mm in Rajnandgaon, 1263.2 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 1083.6 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 1002.0 mm in Balod, 933.0 mm in Bemetara, 1005.4 mm in Bastar, 1019.9 mm in Kondagaon, 984.4 mm in Kanker, 920.0 mm in Narayanpur, 1032.0 mm in Dantewada and 1380.3 mm in Sukma since June 1.
