Raipur, September 17, 2023/Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to freedom fighter Barrister Thakur ChhediLal on his death anniversary, on September 18th. Remembering the contributions of Barrister ChhediLal, the Chief Minister said that he played a crucial role in inspiring the youth to connect with the nationalistic spirit and participate in the freedom struggle. In response to Mahatma Gandhi’s call, he left his legal practice to strengthen the Non-Cooperation Movement. He innovatively used the platform of Ram Leela to spread awareness in the Bilaspur region. Through the “Seva Samiti,” he organized the youth. He also played a significant role in the Civil Disobedience Movement.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that Barrister Thakur Chhedi Lal was a multi-talented individual. He was not only proficient in multiple languages but was also a skilled writer, journalist, musician, and dedicated leader. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly. The Chief Minister emphasized that his achievements and contributions to society will always be remembered and honored.
