Highest rainfall in the state recorded in Bijapur and lowest in Surguja
Raipur, 5 September 2023 . According to the information compiled by the state-level control room set up by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the state government, an average rainfall of 773.1 mm was recorded in the state since June 1, 2023. As per the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 1, 2023, to September 5, today, the highest average rainfall was recorded in Bijapur district at 1352.7 mm and the lowest in Surguja district at 349.6 mm.
In accordance with the information received from the state-level flood control room, from June 1 until now, an average rainfall of 661.3 mm was recorded in Surajpur district, 712.4 mm in Balrampur, 632.3 mm in Jashpur, 717.9 mm in Korea, and 724.1 mm in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.
Similarly, average rainfall of 885.7 mm in Raipur district, 782.9 mm in Balodabazar, 684.6 mm in Gariyaband, 804.6 mm in Mahasamund, 744.0 mm in Dhamtari, 801.3 mm in Bilaspur, 941.1 mm in Mungeli, 888.0 mm in Raigarh, 702.4 mm in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 666.4 mm in Janjgir-Champa, 671.9 mm in Sakti, 751.0 mm in Korba, 768.3 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, and 636.9 mm in Durg was recorded. Average rainfall of 604.9 mm in Kabirdham district, 866.6 mm in Rajnandgaon, 985.6 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 796.2 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 812.3 mm in Balod, 625.4 mm in Bemetara, 813.0 mm in Bastar, 723.2 mm in Kondagaon, 742.5 mm in Kanker, 733.9 mm in Narayanpur, 877.0 mm in Dantewada, and 1148.3 mm in Sukma was recorded from June 1 till now.
