Raipur RTO recorded the highest number of motor vehicle registrations of 8,143
Raipur, September 4, 2023/ Following rhe directions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, and Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, the Transport Department is continuously launching innovative initiatives to enhance public services, including smooth transportation. In this context, with a focus on facilitating the buying and selling of vehicles, the number of vehicle registrations in the state has been steadily increasing. In August 2022, there were 30,236 vehicle registrations in the state, while by August 2023, has risen to 39,509 vehicle registrations. Compared to the year 2022, there has been a growth of approximately one-third, which is about 30.66 percent, in vehicle registrations in the year 2023.
Mr. Dipanshu Kabra, the Transport Commissioner, has stated that, the highest number of motor vehicle registrations in the state has been recorded from August 2022 to August 2023 in the Raipur regional transport office. Under this, a total of 8,143 motor vehicles have been registered. Among these, 1,710 motor vehicles have been registered under the Surguja regional transport office, 3,213 under the Bilaspur regional transport office, 3,515 under the Durg regional transport office, and 1,169 under the Jagdalpur regional transport office. These vehicles include tractors, ambulances, buses, e-rickshaws, cargo carriers, harvesters, taxis (cabs), motorcycles, heavy vehicles, and more.
Similarly, registrations of motor vehicles in district transport offices is as follows: 637 in Baikunthpur, 724 in Balod, 1,178 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 593 in Balrampur, 641 in Bemetara, 264 in Bijapur, 389 in Dantewada, 1,090 in Dhamtari, 479 in Gariyaband, 325 in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 1,917 in Janjgir-Champa, 958 in Jashpur, 1,147 in Kanker, 961 in Kawardha, 738 in Kondagaon, 2,084 in Korba, 1,409 in Mahasamund, 660 in Mungeli, 225 in Narayanpur, 1,999 in Rajnandgaon, 245 in Sukma, 559 in Surajpur, and 2,537 in Raigarh.
