The National Sports Day programme began with the Fit India Pledge at SECL today. On this occasion, Chief Guest Director (Finance) Shri G. Srinivasan, administered the fit india pledge in the presence of Director (Personnel) Shri Debasis Acharyya, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Jayant Kumar Khamari, General Manager (Welfare) Shri Ratnesh Srivastava, various heads of departments, officers and employees, labour union representatives at SECL Headquarters Administrative Building.
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports celebrates August 29th as National Sports Day to mark the birth anniversary of famous hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. It has been decided to celebrate National Sports Day from August 21 to August 29 this year under which various sports events will be organized all over India. The theme of this year’s Sports Day is “Sports as an enabler for an Inclusive and Healthy Society”.
In this sequence, various indoor and outdoor sports competitions will be organized under the National Sports Day from August 21 to August 29 at SECL headquarters and in its various operating areas.
