RIPA transforms the lives of Aish Kumari and Mamta Pav, helps them earn a good income through the CSC Center

Raipur, 5 August 2023/ The RIPA scheme was started by the state government with the aim of promoting rural entrepreneurship and creating employment. Under the scheme, small-scale industries and businesses are being promoted in various blocks of the state.

A prime example of the RIPA scheme transforming the lives of the people through employment-oriented work can be seen in RIPA, located at Baihamuda in Raigarh district. The place is encouraging entrepreneurship through the livelihood-oriented activities undertaken in RIPA. Ms. Aish Kumari Rathia, a resident of Baihamuda, has completed her graduation and DCA. She has started her own CSC center in RIPA, where she provides services like photocopying, typing, passport-size photography, and online form printing. She is also looking forward to starting a Kiosk branch. With a Kiosk branch, the villagers can receive the facilities of a bank, like account opening, crop insurance, and KYC. Aish Kumari also provides home delivery services to the elders of the village for money withdrawal. She said that all of this has been possible because of RIPA, where she has received useful assistance in the form of a working shed and the necessary technical equipment. Because of all these facilities, she is able to earn an income of 12 to 15 thousand rupees every month.

Similarly, Ms. Mamta Pav, a resident of Tarda village in the Pusaur development block of Raigarh, is running a CSC center in RIPA Tarda. In the CSC Center, Mamta provides copies of the Aadhaar card, PAN card, and labor card and also fills out online forms for pension. A working capital of Rs. 1 lakh was given for running the CSC center in RIPA. Additionally, the government also provided a working shed to Mamta, along with a withdrawal facility. On account of the CSC center, she is earning an income of up to Rs. 20 thousand. Moreover, with the establishment of the CSC center, the villagers are getting many facilities in the village itself.
