Raipur, 03 August 2023// Shri Poonam Patel, a resident of Gudhiadih village in Mahasamund district, is 80% orthopedically disabled in both legs. He could not leave his house every day. Due to his physical disability and financial problems, he lived a dependent life on others. However, the Social Welfare Department of the state government came to his aid and changed his life for the better.
Shri Poonam Patel, who relied on others for his daily activities due to his disability, learned that he was eligible for benefits from the Social Welfare Department as a Divyang. He visited the department and applied for a motorized tricycle, which was promptly provided to him considering his condition. Shri Patel is now very happy to receive a motorized tricycle from the state government. He uses it to sell biscuits, bread, and other food items in the surrounding area, making him self-sufficient. He no longer has to depend on others for his personal work and can come and go to work easily. He stated that, due to his financial situation, he was not able to buy a motorized tricycle on his own. He expressed his gratitude to the State Government and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for their prompt action.
