Toppers’ share tips on effective UPSC preparation
Raipur 21 July 2023// A “Toppers Talk” event was held at the Deen Dayal Auditorium in the capital city of Raipur, organized by the district administration, where the UPSC exam toppers provided answers to questions related to the exam for the aspiring candidates of Chhattisgarh.
During the interactive session with the UPSC toppers, Mihir Sinha, a candidate from Raipur, posed a query about the effective studying of NCERT books. In response, the toppers emphasized the significance of NCERT books from classes 10 to 12, which provide valuable insights into history, geography, and political science. They underscored the importance of studying these books for a comprehensive understanding.
Another participant, Archi Jain, sought advice on note-taking techniques. The toppers suggested that notes serve as memory aids and are especially useful for recalling essential facts. They advised focusing on writing down difficult-to-recall information in the notes.
Addressing the dilemma of online versus offline coaching, the toppers opined that candidates should choose their coaching mode based on their capabilities and convenience. They stressed that success can be achieved with proper guidance from informed individuals, even without mandatory coaching.
The question-answer session witnessed the presence of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Mayank Chaturvedi, District Panchayat CEO Shri Abinash Mishra and Assistant Collector Shri Jayant Nahata.
