CEO Mrs. Kangle instructs the officials to provide accessible voting facilities for divyangjan and senior citizen voters

Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale chaired the ‘State Level Steering Committee meeting on Accessible Election’ on July 14. In the meeting, Mrs. Kangale emphasized the importance of ensuring accessible facilities for Divyangjan and senior citizen voters in polling stations. She directed the officials to make necessary preparations and provide clear information and guidelines about these facilities during the training of polling officers and personnel.
During a meeting, Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Kangale instructed officials to ensure the availability of wheelchairs in polling stations and arrange transportation for divyangjan and senior citizen voters. She also directed them to review the availability of accessible facilities such as toilets, ramps, signage, and drinking water. Mrs. Kangale emphasized the need for proper arrangements to facilitate easy access to polling stations for all voters, focusing on the comfort and convenience of the citizens.
Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Bipin Manjhi, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Sharda Agarwal, Additional Director of Social Welfare Department Mr. Pankaj Verma, Deputy Director of DPI Mr. R.K. Pandey, Executive Engineer of PWD Mr. Hemant Arora and Director of Piyali Foundation Dr. Meeta Mukherjee were present in the meeting.
