112 beneficiaries of the Unemployment Allowance Scheme in Kanker district have landed jobs

Raipur, 13 July 2023/The first Swami Atmanand English Medium Model College of Chhattisgarh was inaugurated today in Kanker virtually at hands of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. In his address to the inaugural program, Mr. Baghel said that after completing higher secondary education in English medium, students will be able to continue their studies in Swami Atmanand English Medium Model Colleges. Presently, ten English medium Swami Atmanand Adarsh Mahavidyalayas are being opened in the state. The first of these Swami Atmanand English Medium Model College was inaugurated in Kanker today.

On the occasion, Chief Minister said that we aim to spread the light of education in even the remotest corner of Bastar, and inauguration of the first Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Model College in Kanker today is a major step in this direction. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the girl students of Kanker, who have been selected in Raipur NIT and Central University Bilaspur, come from poor families, which shows that there is no dearth of talent in our children, the need is to provide them resources and opportunities.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the three girl students selected in NIT Raipur and one girl student selected in Central University Bilaspur under ‘Hamar Lakshya’ program through video conferencing from his residence office today. ‘Hamar Lakshya’ program is conducted for school children in Kanker district. Mr. Baghel congratulated these students and extended best wishes for their future. As these students come from poor families, State Government is providing them financial aid for further studies. It is noteworthy that under the ‘Hamar Lakshya’ programme, 75 children from Kanker district have qualified in JEE. In the inaugural program, Chief Minister also spoke to the beneficiaries of unemployment allowance scheme in Kanker district who have landed jobs.

The virtual inauguration program was attended by Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Kanker Mr. Shishupal Sori, MLA Antagarh Mr. Anoop Nag, MLA Bhanupratappur Mrs. Savitri Mandavi, Chairperson Municipality Mrs. Saroj Thakur, Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Superintendent of Police Mr. Divyang Patel and many public representatives in Kanker.

Chief Minister said that Swami Atmanand English Medium Excellent School was started in the year 2020 to provide quality education in English medium to the students of poor families. This scheme has received tremendous response. During the Bhent-Mulaqat programme, people demanded opening of Swami Atmanand schools in every assembly constituency of the state. So far, 377 English medium and 350 Hindi medium schools have been opened in the state under Swami Atmanand Yojana. Under the unemployment allowance scheme, an amount of Rs 80 crore has been distributed to 01 lakh 17 thousand beneficiaries in three installments.

Chief Minister further said that in the last four and a half years, recruitment for 26 thousand 989 posts of teachers in schools has been conducted. Earlier, recruitment for 14 thousand 500 posts of teachers was conducted, and 10 thousand 834 teachers were appointed in schools. Recently, recruitment for 12 thousand 489 more posts of teachers was commenced and it is currently in progress. Development of education and healthcare sector in all the districts of Bastar division is the priority of State Government. As many as 314 closed schools of Bastar division were re-opened. Unemployment allowance is being provided regularly to the unemployed youth. The schemes and programs of the state government have created an atmosphere of trust, development and security in Bastar. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishupal Sori also addressed the program. Collector Kanker Dr. Priyanka Shukla told that the beneficiaries of Unemployment Allowance Scheme who have got placement in Hyderabad will earn Rs. 13 to 15 thousand per month. So far, 112 beneficiaries of this scheme in the district have secured jobs in various sectors.
