Bharda (Tatenga) villagers raise funds to build Mata Shrimati Bindeshwari Baghel Park and statue, commending Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s farmer-friendly policies

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel on Monday inaugurated the ‘Mata Shrimati Bindeshwari Baghel Park’ in village Bharda (Tatenga) of Balod district, besides unveiling the statue of Mata Shrimati Bindeshwari Baghel. He expressed his commitment to the progress and welfare of Chhattisgarh and shared that his beloved mother, Mrs. Bindeshwari Devi, always emphasised that the development of villages, the poor, and farmers is essential for the progress of the state and the nation. Mr. Baghel shared that the state government is making every effort to uphold these principles and ensure comprehensive development in Chhattisgarh. As the chief guest at the ceremony, he highlighted the successful implementation of various public welfare schemes, which have contributed to making Chhattisgarh a self-sufficient and prosperous state.

Mr. Baghel also extends his best wishes to the people present in the ceremony on the occasion of the first Monday of the holy month of Sawan. During his address at the ceremony, Chief Minister Mr.Baghel announced a fund allocation of Rs 50 lakhs each for the park’s beautification and the construction of a community building within the premises. In addition, he approved Rs 65 lakh for the construction of a 3.50-kilometre road connecting the Kharkhara River to the Main Road Tatenga. Furthermore, he also announced the upgradation of the Government Higher Secondary School in Tatenga.

The villagers of Bharda (Tatenga) have shown their appreciation for Chief Minister Mr. Baghel’s farmer-friendly policies and public welfare schemes by raising funds to construct the Mata Bindeshwari Baghel Park and statue. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel expressed heartfelt gratitude to the villagers for honouring his late mother, Mrs. Bindeshwari Devi, by establishing the park and statue in her name. He acknowledged the significant contribution of Janpad Panchayat member Mr. Rajesh Sahu and the collective efforts of the villagers in making the Bindeshwari Park and statue a reality in Bharda (Tatenga) village. The Chief Minister sincerely thanked them for their dedication and support in this endeavour.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel highlighted the state government’s consistent efforts towards the welfare of all sections of society over the past four and a half years. He emphasised that even during the challenging period of the pandemic, the state’s development momentum remained uninterrupted. Mr. Baghel commended the state government’s decision to procure paddy at Rs 2500 per quintal, demonstrating respect for the farmers as the providers of sustenance. He expressed confidence that the support price for paddy would increase in the future, further benefiting the farmers. The state government established Swami Atmanand English and Hindi medium excellent schools to ensure quality education for children across different backgrounds. Furthermore, the state government has introduced the MSP for the procurement of 65 types of minor forest produce to empower forest dwellers and provide fair compensation for their labour. The state government has launched the ‘Narva, Garuwa, Ghurwa, and Bari scheme, which is instrumental in strengthening the rural economy and generating employment opportunities for women and self-help groups within the villages. The implementation of the Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiheen Krishi Majdoor NYAY Yojana has provided an annual amount of Rs. 7,000 to eligible beneficiaries, facilitating their economic well-being. The state government established Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Parks to transform villages into production hubs equipped with essential amenities such as electricity, water, and roads to support modern trade and business. The state government has launched an Unemployment Allowance scheme, wherein eligible beneficiaries have received over Rs. 80 crore within a span of three months. Additionally, the state government has initiated an extensive recruitment process for various government departments to maximise employment opportunities for the youth of the state.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel praised Collector Mr. Kuldeep Sharma for his efforts, and prior to attending the program in village Bharda (Tatenga), he visited a nearby Shiva temple to offer prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state.

During the inauguration ceremony, Parliamentary Secretary and Gunderdehi MLA Mr. Kunwer Singh Nishad highlighted the remarkable development projects and schemes implemented by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for the welfare of the state. Mr. Nishad expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s efforts in fulfilling most of the demands of the people of the Gunderdehi Assembly Constituency. Over the past four years, under Mr. Baghel’s successful tenure, the state government has accomplished significant development initiatives such as the establishment of a government college in Jewartala village, the formation of a new tehsil in Marri-Bangla-Deori, and the establishment of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park in Pinkapar village. Mr. Nishad also brought attention to the key demands of the region, emphasising their importance for further progress. In his welcome speech, Mr. Jagrit Sonkar, the Janpad Panchayat President of Dondilohara, provided detailed information about the state government’s welfare schemes benefiting all sections of society. The villagers presented Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel with a sketch of the late Mrs. Bindeshwari Devi as a tribute. The Chief Minister and other distinguished guests present on the occasion also planted saplings in the park.

Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya, Parliamentary Secretary and Gunderdehi MLA Mr. Kunwer Singh Nishad, Sanjari Balod MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, Zila Panchayat President Mrs. Sonadevi Deshlahara, District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Mithlesh Niroti, Janpad President Mr. Jagrit Sonkar, Janpad Panchayat members Mrs. Chandraprabha Sudhakar and Mrs. Meena Satyendra Sahu, Chairman of Balod Municipality Mr. Vikas Chopra, and other public representatives were present.
