Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel graced the 52nd ‘Kendriya Mahadhiveshan’ of ‘Chandranahun Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj’ in Bemetara district. Community leaders welcomed the Chief Minister by adorning turbans, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel highlighted the deep-rooted connection of the Kurmi community with farming, emphasising the state government’s focus on supporting farmers through its farmer-friendly schemes. He acknowledged the visionary aspirations of leaders, such as Dr. Khubchand Baghel and Mr. Chandulal Chandrakar, who aimed to uplift Chhattisgarh’s farmers, labourers, and marginalised communities. The state government’s initiatives encompass diverse sectors, ensuring ample employment opportunities in education, healthcare, and other sectors. With a commitment to fulfilling the dreams of its forefathers, the Chhattisgarh Government remains dedicated to improving the lives of its citizens and cultivating a prosperous future for the state.

Chief Minister Mr.Baghel emphasised the state government’s commitment to strengthening the state in every sector and ensuring development for all sections of society. Notably, the state government prioritised farmers by waiving their loans and providing support prices for various crops, including paddy, maize, sugarcane, Kodo, Kutki, and Ragi. Over the past four years, Chhattisgarh has witnessed a rise in the number of farmers, increased paddy production, and increased crop cultivation areas, which have led to improved economic conditions for farmers. The Chief Minister attributed these positive changes to ‘NYAY Yojana’ and decisions taken by the state government that benefited farmers, women, forest dwellers, and youth. The state government plans to purchase 20 quintals of paddy per acre in the upcoming procurement season, aiming to further enhance the well-being of Chhattisgarh’s farmers. This commitment to agriculture is expected to bring about even more positive transformations in the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh.

During the program, Chief Minister Mr.Baghel expressed that farmers from other states also desire the same benefits as those the state’s farmers have in Chhattisgarh. He highlighted the success of the state government’s Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana, which has become a landmark initiative for farmers. The Chhattisgarh model is gaining recognition nationwide with innovative practises like vermicompost production and natural paint production from cow dung. The state government is empowering women through the Rural Industrial Park (RIPA), creating better job opportunities in sectors like agriculture and forest. Additionally, students are now opting for Swami Atmanand School over private schools for the quality of education.

Chief Minister Mr.Baghel granted several long-standing requests during his visit to Kanhera village, including the opening of Swami Atmanand School.
