Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam’s appeal to the Haj pilgrims of Chhattisgarh
Raipur, 04 June 2023 / Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee organized a vaccination and health check-up program today for the Haj pilgrims of the state, who are all set to leave for Haj-2023. On this occasion, Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development, Backward Classes and Minorities Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam congratulated the Haj pilgrims, extended best wishes for their journey and requested them to pray for peace, progress and prosperity in Chhattisgarh as well as across India. He also requested them to pray for peace and harmorny across the world. In the program, health check-up of Haj pilgrims was performed and Haj kits were provided to them.
Minister Dr. Tekam said that Chhattisgarh Government is providing all kinds of resources to the State Haj Committee with an aim to provide best possible facilities to the Haj pilgrims of the state. He said that the name of Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee is known for providing high-level qualiy services to the Haj pilgrims. The arrangements and initiatives of the Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee are often followed and replicated by the Central Haj Committee itself and the committees of the other states of the country. Chhattisgarh Haj Committee has taken some commendable initiatives in the interest of pilgrims, such as launch of nation’s first Haj guide mobile application, providing the facility of free online application for Haj, distribution of Haj kits and first aid kits to the pilgrims.
On the occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay extended best wishes to all the Haj pilgrims for their holy journey of Haj. In his address to the Haj pilgrims, Chairman of the State Haj Committee Mohammad Aslam Khan said that a believer goes on Safar-e-Haj (journey of pilgrimage) to seek blessings of God. It is a holy journey of developing stronger spiritual connection with the divine. He thanked Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for providing better facilities to the Haj pilgrims of the state. He also thanked Forest Minister of Chhattisgarh Government Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam for their support and cooperation.
State Haj Committee Executive Officer Secretary Mr. Sajid Memon also congratulated all the Haj pilgrims of the state. On this occasion, Hafiz Khan, Deputy Chairman of the Minority Commission congratulated the pilgrims and appreciated the work of the Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee. On behalf of All India Muslim Welfare Foundation, Haj Committee Chairman Shri Mohammad Aslam Khan was felicitated for making the best Haj arrangements in the state for Haj 2022 and 2023.
