In Kankali Talab, 350 square meters has been beautified with Dholpur red stone. The beauty of these stones, illuminated by facade and flood lights, is giving a new identity to the pond. Lightning has also been done on 28 large pillars in the pond. Maintenance work and painting of the ghats and stairs have also been carried out. Additionally, stainless steel railings have been installed around the pond for approximately 400 meters on all sides.

The Maa Kankali Temple is approximately 650 years old. In ancient times, the discovery of a male skeleton during the excavation of the pond led to it being named the Kankali Temple. Mahant Kripal Giri Ji founded this temple according to the orders of Maa Kankali. The temple has served as a center for the meditation of ascetics, and it is believed that bathing in the pond can cure skin diseases, itching, and allergies. The Kankali Math, where Naga ascetics used to worship Maa Kankali, is located near the temple and only opens once a year on the day of Dussehra.
