Chief Secretary reviews Revenue and Disaster Management Department

Raipur, 17 April . Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain reviewed the priority schemes and programs of the state government at Mahanadi Bhawan (Mantralaya) on April 17 , 2023. He reviewed the work related to the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and gave necessary instructions regarding the various schemes. He instructed the officials of the Revenue Department to provide the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiheen Krishi Majdoor Nyay Yojana to the eligible beneficiaries in all the districts.

Under the scheme, an amount of more than Rs 516 crore has been transferred to the beneficiaries so far. At present, there are 4 lakh 99 thousand 756 beneficiaries under this scheme. This scheme has also been implemented in all the Nagar Panchayats of the state from April 1, 2023. So far applications of 7377 beneficiaries have been received in the Nagar Panchayats. The Chief Secretary directed the officials of the Revenue Department to resolve all the revenue matters within the time limit. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahoo was present in the meeting.

Chief Secretary directed the departmental officers to make special efforts to freehold the land of Nazul Pattas. He said that necessary information should be given to Nazul lessees in this respect. In the meeting, he took detailed information about the regularization of urban slum pattas, renewal, distribution of new slum pattas, and the allotment and regularization of government land up to 7500 square feet. For revenue cases, he directed the officials to resolve revenue cases including conversion, distribution, and account division within the time limit. If any case has not been resolved within the time limit, then the reason for the same should be mentioned. He directed all district collectors to regularly monitor the disposal of revenue cases. He also directed the officers to make special efforts for revenue recovery to increase revenue receipts of the government. The Secretary of Revenue Department Mr. N.N. Ekka, the Director of Land Records Mr. Ramesh Sharma, and officials of Revenue Department and Industries Department were present at the meeting.
