Chief Minister launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana’

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the people of Bastar said that the sound of bullets is now replaced with the delightful songs sung by the youth of Bastar. He was addressing in the program “Bharose Ka Sammelan” held at Jagdalpur, headquarters of Bastar division. Earlier people were scared of visiting Bastar but employment and innovation are now the new identities of Bastar. The special guest of the program Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi said that the culture of Bastar and the innovation happening in Chhattisgarh have an echo in the whole world. Nehru ji and Indira ji had special respect for the people of Bastar. She praised the Chhattisgarh government for the MSP model of minor forest produce and the healthcare model.
In ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana’ with the aim of preserving the culture and tradition of celebrating festivals of tribals in the special presence of Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi. In this scheme, an amount of Rs 10,000 will be given annually in two installments to the Gram Panchayat of the scheduled areas. On this occasion, he distributed an amount of Rs.5000 each to 1840 gram panchayats as the first installment.
While addressing people, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the tribals were devoid of their land. Lohandiguda was the first place in the entire country where tribal’s lands were returned to them. Bastar is walking on the path of development. People are taking advantage of the state government schemes. “Mrs. Indira Gandhi had come here and had given pattas to the tribals. Rahul Gandhi had given land pattas back to the tribals. The youth of Bastar are getting employment.”, he added.
He said, “DENNEX of Dantewada is making clothes and are exporting to the country and abroad. Our sisters are working and empowering themselves. Our government gave forest rights pattas to lakhs of families. This conference is dedicated to the trust of tribals, farmers, laborers, mothers, children, Bastar, and Chhattisgarh. Maa Danteshwari, Dussehra of Bastar, and the culture of the tribals are the identity of Bastar, working towards preserving the culture and traditions of Bastar, we are establishing Devgudis and Ghotuls. Our schemes have brought prosperity to farmers, small forest produces vendors, and tendu patta collectors of forest areas”.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that he has announced holidays on public festivals. The state government is making every effort to provide employment to the maximum number of people and participate in the development of the people. “We are not giving shoes, slippers, and mobiles but putting money directly in your pocket so that you can buy whatever you want. We have put Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the pockets of the people. We are giving Rs 7000 per year to Baiga, Pujari, Gunia, and the landless. We are working for the overall development of people along with empowering the people. We have waived farmers’ loans, and fulfilled the promise of paying Rs 2500 for paddy along with input subsidy and support price. Under the Rajiv Kisan Nyay Yojana, we are providing Rs.9000 per acre to the farmers.”, he added.

Addressing the people, Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi said that she is visiting Bastar for the first time, people are here because they have faith in her family. She is aware of their stories, their culture, and their struggle since childhood. Her family members know their culture, struggles, and challenges. She praised the schemes being run by the Chhattisgarh government in the interest of the people and said that every class in Chhattisgarh is happy. The present state government led by CM Mr.Bhupesh Bahgel has given strength to every hand.
Mrs. Gandhi said, “The most important thing in life is trust. When I came here a woman kindly offered me a serving of homemade ice cream, but she insisted that I may refrain from eating it due to my upcoming speech on stage as it can affect my throat. Her thoughtful warning highlighted the warmth and consideration that the people of Bastar exude”. She further said “A place is identified by three things which are ‘respect for culture’, ‘respect for people’ and ‘respect of people by the government’. The Chief Minister told that once upon a time people were afraid to come here. Today this Bastar has become a brand. The government is supporting to increase the income of people. My grandmother Indira Gandhi had respect for all of you for respecting nature. Here the rate of unemployment is very low and the MSP for forest produce is the highest. The healthcare model here is an example for the country.”.
On this occasion, Mr. Kawasi Lakhma welcomed Smt. Priyanka Gandhi on behalf of the citizens of the Bastar region. He said that the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is the leading Chief Minister of the country. MP Bastar Mr. Deepak Baij welcomed Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi on her first arrival in Bastar, the holy land of Maa Danteshwari, and said that the Gandhi-Nehru family has a deep connection with the land of Bastar. Former MP Ms. Selja and MLA Mr. Mohan Markam also addressed the people.

In ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel announced to upgrade the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Stadium of Jagdalpur as an international football, hockey, and tennis ground, three-level contract pay scale to the managers of Primary Forest Produce Cooperative Society, establishment of ‘Indira Gandhi Mahila Sahakari Bank’ at headquarters Jagdalpur, renaming of Government Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalaya Narayanpur as ‘Virangana Ramotin Madia Government Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalaya’.
Similarly, he announced to named the Agricultural College and Research Center situated in Keralapal after the founder of Ghotul Dev ‘Lingo Mudiyal Agricultural College and Research Center, Keralapal Narayanpur’, Government Naveen College situated in Katekalyan to be named ‘Hidma Manjhi Government College, Katekalyan’ and Government Naveen College of Bhairamgarh as ‘Dhurvarao Madiya Government College Bhairamgarh’.
