State government is consistently promoting the culture of Chhattisgarh
Chief Minister launched the book “Chet Karo Tan Ke”

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday reached village Nikum falling under the Durg Assembly constituency (Gramin) under his statewide ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’. Mr. Baghel attended the state-level Nacha Gammat Festival which was held to commemorate the late Dau Ramchandra Deshmukh. Today was the last day of the three-day dance festival. Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu and Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar were also present in the programme.
He said that the theme based on ‘lack of education’ was presented very beautifully. Congratulating the organizing committee, he said that late Dr. Ramchandra Deshmukh revived the culture of the state. He said that Deshmukh ji promoted state’s culture throughout the country and abroad through participating in cultural programs and training. Consistent efforts are being made by the state government to promote the culture of Chhattisgarh. Local holidays have been announced for festivals like Hareli, World Tribal Day, Karma Jayanti, Chherchera etc. Chhattisgarhiya Olympic Games were also organized in which 26 lakh contestants participated. A provision of Rs.25 crore has also been made for prize distribution to the participants.
The Chief Minister also announced an incentive of Rs 10,000 each to the dance committees and said a discussion should be held to improve their economic condition. He said that farmers are ‘Annadata’ for us. Chhattisgarh is the only state in the country where farmers are being provided the ‘highest price’ for paddy including input subsidy and support price. Paddy procurement capacity on support price is being increased from 15 quintals to 20 quintals from the next procurement season. He also discussed other schemes like Bhumiheen Krishi Majdoor Nyay Yojana. On this occasion, he honored Padma Shri awardee Domar Singh Kunwar and Mr. Deepak Taram with mementos and also released the book named “Chet Karo Tan Ke”.
Local MLA and state’s Home Minister Mr.Tamradhwaj Sahu expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the remarkable work done for the development of the area. On this occasion, Minister in-charge of Durg district Mr. Mohammad Akbar, former MLA Mrs. Pratima Chandrakar, office bearers of Chhattisgarh Nacha Gammat Samiti, public representatives, and local people were present.
