Raipur, 27 March . Facilities provided to players in the sports academy run by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department are now reaping results. In the ‘Dus ka Dum’ Archery Competition organized by the Indian Sports Authority and State Archery Association in Raipur for women, Ms. Tuleshwari Khusro, a player of the archery training sub-center in Shivtarai village in Bilaspur district, won a gold medal in the Indian round with 656 marks. In the same competition, Ms. Divya Yadav, a player of the State Sports Training Center (Khelo India State Center of Excellence) run by the department in Bilaspur, secured third place with 647 marks.
It is noteworthy that the Sports and Youth Welfare Department in the state is continuously encouraging sports in the state. For this, sports academies are being established in the state by the department, where players are provided with superior facilities and top-quality training. It is because of these efforts that the players of sports academies run by the department have secured top positions in the said competition organized by the Indian Sports Authority. With the start of the sports academies, players had also performed well on the national level and had won medals earlier as well.
Archery Training Sub-center Shivtarai’s player Ms. Tuleshawari Khusro is undergoing training under Mr. Itwari Raj, whereas, Ms. Divya Yadav, a player of the State Sports Training Center (Khelo India State Center of Excellence) is undergoing training under Mr. Nilesh Gupta. The Director of the Sports Department congratulated the two players on their achievements. They have also congratulated and expressed their best wishes to the trainers Mr. Nilesh Gupta and Mr. Itwari Raj while appreciating their efforts.
