Raipur : Mitan scheme brings comfort and relief to the run-of-the-mill life of the cities

Mitan has reached homes of 51 thousand people

13 types of certificates including birth, death, marriage, domicile are now being delivered to the citizens at their doorstep

In the fast-paced life of the cities, Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana is bringing major relief to the people.   Important documents such as certificates of birth, death, domicile, marriage etc. are now being made available to the beneficiaries at their doorstep.  Mitan has taken documents to the homes of more than 51 thousand people so far.   To get these certificates issued, all one has to do is to book an appointment on the toll free number 14545, after which Mitan visits the home of the applicant and collects the necessary documents required for the issuance of the particular certificate.  Thereafter, the certificate is delivered at the doorstep of the applicant.
  On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and under the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, started by the Urban Administration Development Department from May 01, 2022, so far about 62 thousand people in all the 14 municipal corporations of the state have booked appointments to get their official documents issued and delivered at home.  And till date, more than 51 thousand citizens have received their official documents while sitting at home.  Under this scheme, more than 01 lakh 25 thousand citizens have obtained information regarding the issuance of government documents by contacting on the toll free number 14545 of Mitan Yojana.

13 types of services available under Mitan Yojana

As many as 13 types of services are being provided to the common people under Mitan Yojana. The number of services would be further increased in the near future. Currently, services regarding the issuance of the birth certificate, correction in birth certificate, death certificate, domicile certificate, marriage registration and certificate, income certificate, other backward class certificate, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe certificate, shop and installation registration document, land record copy, PAN update and duplicate, land record (land use), aadhaar card registration, aadhaar card updation, etc are being provided under Mitan Yojana.

How to avail the scheme

To  avail Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, the applicant may call on Toll free number 14545. Once the appointment is booked, the applicant receives an SMS with booking information. Thereafter, Mitan visits the house of the applicant on the given time and date and collects the necessary documents. He uploads the documents on the portal through his computer tablet. After this, the verified documents are sent to the respective departments online, after reviewing which the department concerned issues the particular certificate in the name of the applicant. And then the Mitan Agent delivers the said certificate to the applicant’s house.
