Governor Shri Harichandan honored with Guard of Honor

Raipur 22 February . The new Governor of Chhattisgarh, Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan, arrived at the Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur this morning. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel accorded a warm welcome to him with a floral bouquet at the new State Hangar located within the airport premises. The Governor also received a Guard of Honor on the occasion. The Honorable Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Shri Arup Kumar Goswami, will administer the oath of office to the new Governor at the Raj Bhavan at 11:30 am on February 23.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Leader of Opposition Shri Narayan Chandel, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Shri Kuldeep Juneja, Raipur Mayor Shri Aijaz Dhebar along with other public representatives, as well as Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrat Sahoo, Commissioner of Raipur Division Shri Yashwant Kumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, IG Shri Ajay Yadav, Raipur Collector Shri Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Prashant Kumar Agrawal and Senior officers were also present on the occasion.

Governor Shri Harichandan’s experience will benefit Chhattisgarh, says Chief Minister

After welcoming the Governor, Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan, at the State Hangar, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel spoke to the media persons and said that the Governor is an experienced politician. He has been a five-time MLA, held several ministerial portfolios, and has also served as the Governor. Chhattisgarh will benefit from his experience.
