Success Story : Nandkumari’s dream are coming true because of Chief Minister’s Skill Development Scheme

Nandkumari got employment, after taking free training as a sewing machine operator under the scheme

Now she is supporting her family and attaining her dreams

Raipur 20 January . Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (Chief Minister Skill Development Scheme) is a convergence scheme, under which the skill development training courses and programmes organized by various departments have been brought together on a single platform to benefit the youngsters. These skill training programmes are being sponsored by the departments like Labour, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Urban Administration, Agriculture etc. and free training is being provided to the applicants.

Under Chief Minister’s Skill Development Scheme, Skill Development Authority has been providing skill development training to the unemployed youths in Jashpur district, making them more employable. Training in various trades such as sewing machines operator, computer operators etc is being provided.

In the same sequence, Chief Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana proved to be a boon for Nand Kumari, a resident of village Kurkunga of Kunkuri development block of the district, turning her dream into a reality. Nandkumari was provided training in the trade of sewing machine operator under the scheme. After the training, the beneficiary was employed in KPR Sugar and Apparel Limited, Tiruppur, where she is getting good salary as well as free residential facility.

Nand Kumari has two brothers and parents in her family, and agriculture is their main source of income. Her father is a small farmer, and their financial condition was weak, making it difficult to make the both ends meet. This is the reason why since childhood, Nand Kumari wanted to improve the economic condition of her family and by becoming financially empowered.

As soon as Nandkumari came to know about the Chief Minister’s Skill Development Scheme, she applied for the skill training. After successfully completing her training, Nand Kumari landed a job and now she is not only financially independent but is also a major support for her family. Nandkumari has expressed gratitude towards the district administration and Chhattisgarh government for providing the employment opportunity.
