Mata Bahadur Kalarin Award to be given to daughters in the field of bravery – Chief Minister Shri Baghel

Raipur, January 15. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghe while addressing the provincial festival of Kalar Samaj at Kalangpur in Balod district today,said that “not only the Kalar community, but the entire Chhattisgarh is proud of Mata Bahadur Kalarin. We are all proud of her indomitable bravery,and to honor her valor, a field award for bravery will be given in her name”. He further said that Kalar (Sinha) society is a hardworking society and this society has always had a proud participation in the development of Chhattisgarh.


Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that efforts are also being made for the formation of Mahua Board and the chairman of this board will be from Kalar Samaj. He congratulated and wished the people present in the program on the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival and honored the talented people of Kalar Samaj who have achieved remarkable achievements in various fields. On this occasion, he also announced upgradation of former middle school of Parsahi village to be made into high school, establishment of new primary health center in village Sikosa, Rs 20 lakh for community building in village Kalangpur, Rs 10 lakh for construction of CC road and Rs 10 lakh for solar high mask light. The program was presided over by Mrs. Kiran Sinha, member of the State Backward Classes Commission and State President of Mahila Manch of Kalar Samaj.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that every society has its customs, traditions and constitution. He said that the traditions of the society which are not apt according to the present times should be ended by the society itself. Mr. Baghel said that “there is an unbreakable relationship and boundless affection between me and the residents of Balod district, as a result of which I am coming to Balod district continuously in a very short interval.” Mentioning several public welfare programs being run by the Chhattisgarh government, the Chief Minister said that along with strengthening the rural economy, Suraji Gaon Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Rural bhumiheen krishi Mazdoor Nyay yojna Scheme is being operated and a large number of villagers are being benefited through these schemes.

The Chief Minister said that in order to make women self-reliant and economically empowered, they have been given the responsibility of completing various livelihood related works in Gothans. Our mothers and sisters are successfully doing various self-employment oriented works like vermicompost manufacturing, lamp manufacturing, organic insecticide manufacturing etc. in Gauthans. Along with this, now natural paint is also being manufactured in Gothans. Now schools and all government offices will be painted with natural paint. He said that Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park is being established in each development block by the state government. Through this, apart from providing employment to the youth of the state, facility of loans etc. from banks will also be provided.

Mr. Baghel said that the work of procuring 65 types of minor forest produce on the support price is also being done in the state. Through all these schemes, the income of the common people of the state is increasing and they are becoming economically prosperous and self-reliant. Along with this, a concrete action plan has been chalked out by our state government for the protection and promotion of the tradition, culture, language and customs of Chhattisgarh. Under this, work is being done to give new identity to socio-cultural religious centers like Ram Vanagaman Circuit, Baba Guru Ghasidas Taposthali.

The program was also addressed by State Backward Classes Commission member Mrs. Kiran Sinha, Sanjari Balod MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, State President of Kalar Samaj Mr. Deepak Sinha and President of Yuva Manch Mr. Govind Sinha. State Mineral Development Corporation President Mr. Girish Dewangan, Parliamentary Secretary and Regional MLA Mr. Kunwar Singh Nishad, MLA Sanjari Balod Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha, District Panchayat President Mrs. Sonadevi Deshalhara and many public representatives were present in the program.
