Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai launched the district-wide expansion of the innovative educational initiative ‘Jash Learn’ from his residence in Bagia on June 20. Following its successful pilot implementation in Farsabahar development block, the programme will now be extended across all development blocks of Jashpur district to strengthen foundational mathematics skills among primary school students through the active participation of teachers, parents and students.
Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said that education is the strongest foundation for the development of society and the nation. He noted that quality education supported by technology and community participation can significantly improve learning outcomes and children’s confidence.
During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with students, including Vandana Yadav, Navya Yadav, Ayushi Tirkey and Kusum Dadsena, who have been benefiting from the programme and reviewed their learning progress. Students shared how regular phone-based guidance helped them improve their mathematical skills and confidence.
The Chief Minister also honoured first-year trainee teachers of DIET Jashpur with certificates of appreciation for their contribution to the initiative through mobile-based learning support.
Implemented by the Jashpur district administration in collaboration with Youth Impact Organisation, the pilot project connected DIET trainee teachers with students of Classes III and IV through regular mobile-based mentoring. Under the programme, 90 trainee teachers provided academic support to 260 students in Farsabahar block.
The initiative delivered encouraging results, with nearly 75 per cent of students achieving proficiency in basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Significant improvements were recorded in students’ learning pace, mathematical understanding, and self-confidence.
Encouraged by the success of the pilot project, the district administration has decided to expand ‘Jash Learn’ across all development blocks of Jashpur district. Specialised training will be provided to Cluster Academic Coordinators (CACs) to ensure effective implementation.
Zila Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Education Department officials, DIET trainee teachers, parents and citizens were present on the occasion.
