NTPC Lara awarded with Safety Innovation Award 2021 by Institution of Engineers (I), Safety and Quality Forum New Delhi today in 18th Safety Convention. The award presented by Prof. (Dr) D P Agarwal, Former Chairman Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Dr H O Thakare, President, Institution of Engineers (I).
This award presented to NTPC Lara in Energy Sector Category for implementing Innovative Safety Management Systems at Workplace. The award was received by Shri Harish Mittal, Sr. Manager (Safety) Lara received this award.
The 1600-megawatt power station of NTPC limited located at Raigarh is having the distinct features of first 800-megawatt Super Critical Technology plant of state-run power utility NTPC Limited, coupled with the objective of providing eco-friendly and affordable electricity for nation building. 50 percent of generated electricity is provided to home state Chhattisgarh.
