NTPC Lara Celebrates National Safety Day with Great Enthusiasm

Raigarh 10 March 2026.NTPC Lara station celebrated National Safety Day with great enthusiasm, reaffirming its strong commitment to promoting a robust safety culture at the workplace.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the safety flag followed by the Safety Pledge, which was administered by the Chief Guest Sh. K. C. Singha Roy, GM (O&M). Employees from various departments actively participated in the Safety Awareness Programme, spreading the message of safety and responsible work practices across the station.

Addressing the gathering, senior management highlighted the importance of maintaining a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment, urging all employees and contract workers to strictly follow safety protocols in their daily operations.

A Safety Skit on the theme of “Work at Height”, performed by contract workers, was one of the key attractions of the programme. The skit effectively conveyed the importance of following proper safety measures while working at heights and received appreciation from the audience.

During the event, Sh Ashok Kumar Mishra, GM (O&FM), Sh. Hemant Pawgi, GM (Project), Heads of Departments, President and senior members of Prerita Mahila Samiti (PMS), employees and contract workers were present.

To encourage safety awareness, prizes were distributed to the winners of various National Safety Day activities organised during the safety week. In addition, trophies were awarded to the best performing Safety Zone Leaders in recognition of their contribution towards strengthening the safety culture at NTPC Lara.
