Mumbai, January 16, 2026: The trailer of Shatak: Sangh Ke 100 Varsh, a film chronicling the 100-year journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was unveiled in Mumbai on Thursday, marking a significant cultural moment in the organisation’s centenary year. The trailer was released by Dr. Manmohan Ji Vaidya, senior functionary and member of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (All-India Executive Committee) of the RSS, in the presence of several eminent guests.

Prior to the official launch, the makers hosted an exclusive preview of the trailer for select members of the media. The special screening allowed journalists to engage with the film’s subject, intent and historical framework, offering early insights into its narrative approach.

The year 2025 marked 100 years of the RSS, an organisation that has played a significant role in shaping India’s social, cultural and ideological discourse. Set against this backdrop, Shatak seeks to move beyond perception-driven narratives and present a more contextual and research-based account of the organisation’s evolution.

The trailer indicates that the film will address several long-standing myths and lesser-known historical episodes related to the RSS. It touches upon periods when the organisation faced multiple bans, its role during critical phases of India’s freedom movement, and its response during the Emergency. By revisiting these sensitive chapters, the film aims to provide audiences with a broader and more nuanced understanding of events that have influenced public opinion over decades.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Manmohan Ji Vaidya said the film would help the Sangh reach society through a powerful medium like cinema. He highlighted the organisation’s continuity, growth and relevance over a century, noting that the film’s tagline, “Naa Ruke, Naa Thake, Naa Jhuke”, reflects its enduring spirit and the vision of its founder, Dr. K.B. Hedgewar.

Director Aashish Mall described Shatak as a deeply personal project, shaped by extensive research and guidance, while producer Vir Kapur said the film draws upon established literature to present a cohesive cinematic narrative.

Produced by Vir Kapur, co-produced by Aashish Tiwari and presented by Ada 360 Degree LLP, Shatak, conceptualised by Anil D. Agrawal, is slated for theatrical release on February 19, 2026. The trailer sets the tone for a film that invites audiences to revisit history with fresh perspective.
