Korba 02/10/21 DAV Public School SECL Korba celebrated 152th Anniversary of Gandhi Jayanti and the birth anniversary of our former prime minister shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on 2nd October with high regards following the protocol of COVID-19. The program commenced with garlanding and lighting the lamp on the portrait of the father of our nation shri Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastriji by the principal of the school shri Harish Kant Pathak along with all the other staff of the school. Later different teachers of the school highlighted the importance of their religions by presenting their prayers. Later Sanskrit Teacher of the school Mr. Narsingh Das Shastri highlighted the principles and its importance of Bhagavad Gita. Next Mrs Nilophar Shahzadi threw light on the principles of Kuran.
In the next sequence Mr Kawaljeet Singh Sandhu presented Guru Vani and highlighted the importance of Guru Vani in Sikh religion. The head of the English department Mrs G. Sulochanarani recited the verses from Bible and Mr. Manish Jain highlighted the principles and importance of Jain religion. Later a melodious bhajan based on Gandhi ji was presented by Mrs Jyostna Dandekar. Later the English teacher Suraj Prasad Gupta presented a speech on Gandhi Jayanti and the Hindi teacher Mrs Mamta Dubey presented her speech on Lal Bahadur Sashtri. Later the head of the Hindi department Mr Jay Prakash Gautam presented his views on the equality of all religions. Next all the staff presented a bhajan ‘Raghu Pati Raghav Raja Ram in a choir.
In the next sequence the principal of the school Shri Harish Kant Pathak congratulated everybody on the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Sashtri and addressed them by saying that every religion has it’s own importance and everybody should respect all the religion equally. He also recited the ‘Rashmi Rathi’ of Shri Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. The program was successfully compered by the head of the CCA Department Mr Ghanshyam Tiwari and the vote of thanks was proposed by the celebration in charge Mrs Pinky Kaur. All the teaching and non teaching staff played their responsibility to make the program successful.
