Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday attended the 23rd State-Level Matrimonial programs- Adarsh Vivah ceremony and Widow-Widower Meet organized by the Chhattisgarh Nishad Samaj in the village of Fundhar, Raipur. He congratulated the newlywed couples and commended the efforts of Nishad Samaj in facilitating this initiative.

Commending the efforts of the Nishad Samaj for organizing collective marriage ceremonies and providing a matchmaking platform for youth, who have lost a spouse, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said, “This initiative by Nishad Samaj is a noble and commendable effort. Social unity is crucial and every individual deserves equal rights within society. An organized society not only benefits its members but also strengthens the nation as a whole.”

He emphasized the importance of education for societal progress and said that Society can only advance through education. Chief Minister also urged community leaders to prioritize education and ensure that everyone in their communities has access to it, recognizing its transformative power. Highlighting the lineage of Nishad community, Chief Minister said that all of you are descendants of Guha Nishadraj, who helped Shri Ram to cross the Ganges river through boat. Our government is providing Darshan of Ramlala to the devotees and urged everyone to visit Lord Shri Ram. Shri Sai said that the Chief Minister’s Tirth Yatra Yojana is being restarted by our government. The Chief Minister also urged the Nishad community to take advantage of the government’s fisheries schemes.

Chief Minister said that we are fulfilling Modiji’s guarantee. “Our government is taking and implementing many decisions like two years’ pending paddy bonus, increase in Tendu leaf collection remuneration, approval of Prime Minister’s houses to the homeless. Paddy is being purchased at the support price from November 14. Arrangements have been made to pay the price of the paddy sold to the farmers within 72 hours,” said Shri Sai.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced allocation of Rs 10 lakh for the community building of the community in Ghoghra Navapara.

In the program, the Chief Minister announced to increase the financial assistance from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh amount for the victim family of Nishad community, who suffered in the incident that happened in village Chharched a few days ago. Besides a financial assistance of Rs 4000 per month to the four children of the victim family till they turn 18 years old and two youths of the victim family have been given jobs. Chief Minister Shri Sai also honoured 10 youths selected for the post of sub-inspector of Nishad community.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Kunwar Singh Nishad, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Backward Class Commission Shri Nehru Nishad also addressed. On this occasion, a large number of representatives of Nishad community including Shri M R Nishad, Shri Suresh Dhiwar were present.
