Women from SHGs are showcasing and selling a range of handmade products
Raipur, 5 November 2024// At the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Industry and Trade Complex premises, the site of this year’s Rajyotsav 2024, various departments have set up stalls. The Urban Administration and Development Department’s exhibit features models of residential colonies and homes constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) across several cities in the state.
A key highlight is the model of the upcoming 90 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) in Nimmora. Additionally, women from self-help groups under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) are showcasing and selling a range of handmade products, including decorative items, incense sticks, flower pots, and Madhubani print sarees.
The stall also displays housing projects built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Rajnandgaon, Raipur, and Bhilai-Charoda, as well as an affordable housing project developed by Bhilai Municipal Corporation. Visitors can also learn about the department’s key initiatives, such as Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 and Mission Amrit 2.0.
