State Government committed to establish innovation culture in Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

A landmark MoU has been signed between Chhattisgarh and i-Hub Gujarat to foster innovation

This partnership will provide the necessary resources, guidance and opportunities to students to move forward in the field of innovation

Raipur, 16 October 2024/ A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been inked between the Technical Education Department of Chhattisgarh and i-Hub Gujarat (Innovation Hub Gujarat) at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai described this partnership as a historic step towards encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship.

Chief Minister Shri Sai praised the successful model of I-Hub Gujarat and said that this agreement will usher in a new era towards start-ups and innovation in the state. “I-Hub Gujarat has played an important role in converting the ideas, innovations and startups of thousands of youth into commercial products. The Chief Minister expressed his commitment to replicate similar success in Chhattisgarh and said that this partnership will provide the necessary resources, guidance and opportunities to the youth to move forward in the field of innovation,” said Shri Sai.

Chief Minister said that this agreement is not only focused on technical facilities but will also provide a platform to empower the youth by connecting them with advisors, investors and industry experts. This partnership will make Chhattisgarh a leader in the field of innovation and start-ups.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the youth, who will bring new ideas regarding industry and business will be provided with financial resources as well as work and living space, so that they will be able to convert their ideas commercially. This institution will assist the youth in contracting with companies.

Technical and Employment Department Secretary Dr S Bharatidasan said that through this MoU, this agreement is for three years and an effort will be made to develop an eco-system to develop entrepreneurship among the youth, for this a center will be started in the Government Engineering College. He also informed that the youth of Chhattisgarh have more than 800 patents, 1724 have been started in Chhattisgarh.

The MoU was signed by Chhattisgarh Technical Education and Employment Secretary Dr S Bharatidasan and Gujarat Government Technical Education Commissioner Mr Banchanidhi Pani.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mr Arun Sao, Food Minister Mr Dayal Das Baghel, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr Kedar Kashyap, Commerce and Industry Minister Mr Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Finance Minister Mr OP Choudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs Laxmi Rajwade, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr Tankaram Verma, Chief Minister’s Secretary Mr P Dayanand, Dr Basav Raju S, Mr Rahul Bhagat, CEO of i-Hub Mr Hiranmay Mahanta, Director of Technical Education of Chhattisgarh Dr Priyanka Shukla were also present.
