SECL organizes talk on Role of Ethics and Code of Conduct under Vigilance Awareness

As part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2024, a capacity building program was held at SECL HQ today on 01 October 2024. During the program Shri Manoj Gurumukhi, SDGM, SECR delivered a talk on the role of ethics and code of conduct in an organization.

In his lecture Shri Gurumukhi emphasized the critical role that ethics play in shaping both individual behavior and organizational environments. He highlighted how ethics are the foundation of trust and accountability, which are essential for a productive and transparent workplace.

Shri Gurumukhi shared various instances from his experience of working in the railways and elaborated on the role of knowledge of code of conduct in dealing with difficult situations.

Speaking on this occasion CVO Shri Himanshu Jain said that one of the 5 key focus areas of this year’s Vigilance Awareness campaign is Capacity Building and workshops like these play a critical role in equipping employees with necessary skills to do things in a transparent and efficient manner.

The talk was attended by HoDs from various departments at the HQ who engaged in a meaningful discussion on the subject and raised various queries which were answered by Shri Gurumukhi.
